Moore enters his first year as the Head Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track and Field Coach, focusing on distance events.
Moore brings over 20 years of experience in the coaching world; he started his coaching career at Episcopal High School (Bellaire, TX) in 1991 after a running career at the University of Arkansas. As an athlete, Moore was a seven-time NJCAA All-American at Blinn College and the 1985 Texas Southwest JUCO Conference Champion in the 400m hurdles.
During his tenure Ronnie has produced 46 All-Conference Academic Athletes, 18 National Scholar Athletes, 1 DII National & Regional Cross-Country Champion, 9 DII All-Americans, 6 NAIA Champions, 48 All-American Athletes, 32 Conference Champions, 6 top-ten team finishes at NAIA Championships, 2 top-25 NCAA DII team finihses, and 2 NCAA DII Cross Country All-Americans.
On top of his coaching experience, Moore is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (USTFCCCA) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He also holds his Master of Science in Human Performance Recreation & Wellness from Pittsburg State University.
Ronnie is a native of Houston, Texas, where he graduated from Robert E. Lee High School before completing his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Arkansas.
During his running career at Arkansas, the Razorbacks won two Southwest Conference Championships. Moore won two NCAA triple crowns – having won titles during cross country, indoor, and outdoor meets in a single season. He qualified twice for the US Olympic Trials in the 400m hurdles.
