Koalas Sweep Bluefield Over the Weekend

With the end of the season quickly approaching, the Koalas are desperately fighting to keep their post season hopes alive. The road to the post season went through Bluefield last Saturday and the Koalas were prepared to do battle. Winning both games, completed the first sweep of the season. The first game had a final score of 4-2 and the second game ended 7-1. With these added wins to the record, the Koalas are now 5 games behind 8th place. The Koalas face off against Allen University at home, which should allow them to get closer to their goals as a team. The games will be played at 4 and 6 pm. 

As it stands today, McKenzie Schaller is leading the team with a batting average of .321 with 25 hits and 5 stolen bases. Alexus Jennings leads the team in RBI's with 16 off of 24 hits, with 4 homeruns. While Martier Easler being the next closest with 10 RBI's on 19 hits . And on the pitchers mound Elizabeth Stroud leads with an ERA of 3.37 with 53 total strikeouts and a record of 5-10.
