Koalas Complete Season Sweep of Johnson (Tenn.)

Johnson, Tenn. (01-29-22) – Columbia College (SC) outscored Johnson (Tenn.) 22-11 in the second quarter to defeat the Lions 74-68 and snap a six-game losing streak. The win improves the Koalas to Columbia College to 3-15 overall and 3-14 in the AAC. Johnson (Tenn.) drops to 1-15 overall and 1-14 in the AAC.
In their first meeting (11-20-21) Columbia College defeated the Lions 63-41.
Koala Game Highlights:
Carnasia Wells led three Koala players in double-figures with 24, 21 in the first half. She pulled in six rebounds with two steals.
Jordan Morgan had a solid performance, scoring 17 points (15 in the second half) with five rebounds, three assists three steals and a block.
Wynter Webb rounded out the double-figure scorers with17 points (12 in the second half). Webb pulled in four rebounds with two steals.
Nyla Jackson pulled in a game-high 15 rebounds with seven points and four blocks.
Lions Game Notes:
Tori Teesateskie scored a game-high 25 points with 14 rebounds to lead Johnson (Tenn.)
Johnson's Bench outscored Columbia College by two, 9-7.
Additional Notes:
Columbia College outscored Johnson 40-32 in the paint and scored 15 points off of the Lions 12 turnovers. The Koalas had 12 fast break points compared to six by Johnson.

The Koalas will host Milligan University in an AAC contest, Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 5:30 pm in the Godbold Center on the campus of Columbia College.
