Solesbee Game Winning Shot

Solesbee Game Winning Shot

Monday the Koalas took on conference opponenet Asbury. In the opening minutes of the first half the Eagles jumped out to an early 3-0 lead. That has been a bad pattern for this years' team, of getting down ealry and fighting their way back into each game. Fortunately this game yielded a different result from recent history. The Koalas were able to pull themselves together and grind out a win. With some major saves made by goalie Diamond Brown and a few great assist that led to scores; the Koalas walked away victorious with a score of 10-9. The last goal came from a senior Morgan Solesbee with only 4 seconds left on the clock.

Solesbee is currently leading the team with 18 goals, 9 assist and 27 points. As it stands today the team has a record of 3-5 overall and 2-2 in the conference. The Koalas are in 5th place in conference but that standing can change this weekend when the ladies face off againt Reinhardt. The game will be played in Columbia on Saturday at 4pm which is also the senior night for the team.
