Soccer Inks Taylor Merner for 2019

Columbia College Soccer Head Coach Robert Hunter has announced the signing of Taylor Merner from Palmetto High School as the next member of the 2019 signing class.

Merner, from Williamston, SC, has primarily played as a defender in her career both for Palmetto and through the Carolina Elite Soccer Academy club program.  Once enrolled in school, she intends to double major at Columbia College in both the Media Writing and the Computer and Information Science Programs. 

Coach Hunter said about Taylor, "Taylor was actually the first player we signed for 2019 and we are certainly happy to have her on board.  From the moment she was here it felt like she would be a great fit for CC and that CC would be a great fit for her, and we are delighted she chose to continue her career here.  Taylor is a versatile player who has been a leader on her high school team for years as well as playing at CESA, so we know she has the pedigree to contribute immediately once on campus."
