Montreat, NC – The Columbia College (SC) women's soccer team looks to remain perfect in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) as they travel to Montreat, SC Wednesday, Sept. 22, to face the Cavaliers of Montreat College.
Columbia College will put a 3-0 conference bill on the line on Wednesday. The Koalas are 5-1 overall.
Columbia College picked up its third conference win last Saturday at Brenau. Kayann Glass scored off an assist by Theresa Chambers & Jordan Myers in the 32nd minute to give Columbia College a 2-0 advantage heading into the half. Myers scored the first goal of the contest. After allowing a goal in the 56th minute, the Koalas defense stayed strong the remainder of the contest to come away with a 2-1 win.
Columbia College has allowed just four goals on the season. Jordan Myers and Kianna Dodge lead the team in goals with six. Myers also leads the team in points with 16.
Montreat comes into the contest with a 3-1 overall record and 2-1 in the conference. The Cavaliers have won three of their last four games.
In its last outing, Montreat defeated Bryan College, 2-0.
The Koalas will host Bryan, Saturday in a 3:30 pm AAC contest.
