Women's Indoor Track and Field Takes Second, Men Take Fourth at AAC Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, NC- After two days of competition at the JDL fast-track, the Women's Indoor track and field posted a team score of 159 points, earning second place, while Milligan repeats as Champion with 182 points. 

On the men's side, the Koalas earned 64 team points, claiming fourth place in a field of 12.

The women saw three individual champions; Mackenzie Pringle (12.16 meters) took first in the triple jump and claimed Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Freshman of the Year honors, while Kayla Ferrell took first in the 400 with a time of 1:01.89, Ainhoa Colino also took gold in the 3000-meter Race Walk at 16:35.80. 

The men took gold in the 4x400 relay event, with the team of Kimarje White, Kendall Stroman, Xavier Linen, and Caleb Bailey posting a time of 3:23.75.

Several Koalas made their way to the podium for both the men and the women.
