Koalas Compete at Montreat Invite

Another big weekend as the Koala track team sets their sights on outdoor conference at the end of the month. A two day meet hosted by Montreat was the setting for this past weekend's competition and yet again the ladies performed very well. There were 3 new school records set and a number of individuals qualified for the conference meet. In addition, others were able to improve their standings. 

First up was our race walkers, Brittany Robbins and Shelby Winn, who both had PR's in the event. Although they have not qualified for nationals as of yet they both are ranked in the NAIA. Robbins currently sits as 12th and Winn is 7th in the nation for the race walk. Setting new school records was Amber Bell in the 400m, Alyssa Waibel in the steeple chase, and Morgan Cameron-Decker in the Discus. All of those athletes also qualified for the conference meet in their respective events.
