King Has a Monster Game in Loss to Truett

Saturday afternoon the Koala volleyball team took on conference opponent Truett-McConnell. Although the ladies lost the match 3 games to none, there were some high points.

Most of those high points came from Sophomore MB, Brianna King. Out of the 24 total kills by the team, King recorded 12 of those. Along with teammates Jalyn Pace, who had 4 kills, and first years Dori Chin, and Kinsley Atkins (both with 2 kills) stepping up for injured Icyeiss Drayton; the Koalas look to improve on their overall record from last year.

Although the season has started off slow, the overall feeling is that this team has the potential to win more games than any other team in program history. Confidence and experience are the only obstacles that seems to be holding the ladies back at the moment but the hope is that things will turn for the better soon.

The next match for the Koalas will be a home game against St.Andrews on Tuesday September 10th, starting at 6:30pm.
