Noble-Watson and Hearn Serve as Panelists at NAIA Divisional Day

Columbia College (SC) Sports Information Director Romanda Noble-Watson and rising senior softball player Madison Hearn will serve as panelists at the 2022 NAIA Divisional Day Tuesday, June 28, 2022. NAIA Divisional Day is part of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA ) Convention in Las Vegas, Nev., from June 26-30. 

"It is always an honor when you can speak on a national state on issues that affect my professional community," said Noble-Watson. "It is even nicer that I get to serve on the panel along with one of my current student-athletes."

The panel will discuss ways to handle the stresses of the sports information profession and that of student-athletes. It will also provide ways to make time for life outside of the office and the team responsibilities.

"I am so excited to have the opportunity in my own hometown to speak on student-athlete mental health," said Hearn.  "I hope this panel can help spread more awareness on this growing problem in the sports culture and help my peers grow."
