Columbia College Men’s Golf Finish 3rd in Flyers Fall Invitational

Southern Pines, NC (Sept. 12-13) -- The Columbia College Men's Golf Team opened its second year of competition with a third-place finish at the Flyers Fall Invitational, Tuesday-Wednesday, Sept. 12-13 at the Longleaf Golf & Family Club.

The 8-team field consisted of 40 total competitors.

Dillon Hite, who finished seven over par, led the way for the Koalas firing a two-day score of 151 (72-79), which placed him tied for eighth.

Brandon Griffin finished 10th with a two-day total of 152, and Blake Vaughn, who finished in the Top-15 (14th place), shot a 156 (79-79).

The Koalas had three total players to finish in the Top 20 as Jacob Frink placed 17th with a 160.  DaShawn Thomas rounded out the competitors for Columbia College, finishing with a 187 (92-95).

The Koalas will be back in action Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 26-27, at the East Tennessee Collegiate at Johnson City Country Club in Johnson City, Tenn.
