Koala Men’s Swimming Compete for First-Time

Columbia, S.C. – After having its season-opening meet canceled, the Columbia College men's swim team will finally begin its era. The Koala men's team will host the Columbia College Quad Meet, Saturday, Nov. 5, at 10 a.m., at Greer Natatorium.

In addition to Columbia College, the meet will feature teams from St. Andrews, Catawba, and Point.

The inaugural meet is also the collegiate head coaching debut for Kelly Giese. Giese join the Koalas staff in October.

Four individuals will compete for Columbia College at the 2022 season-opening meet at St. Andrews.

"We are excited to kick off the inaugural season for the men's team here at Columbia College," said Giese. "We have a great group of talented swimmers that will make a big impact, especially in the stroke events. They have put in the work and ready to get up and race."

After the home meet, the Koalas will return to the pool Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Point Invitational.
