Timmerman Breaks Own School Record at the Koala XC Classic

West Columbia, SC (Oct. 2) – For the second straight meet, Patrick Timmerman has set a school record in the 8K.  Timmerman clocked a 28:44.8 at the Koala XC Classic to finish 39th out of 112 competitors.  Belmont Abby took home the team title with 60 points, and Jacob Olson, who was running unattached, was the top finisher for the men with a time of 25:41.3.  The top collegiate finisher was Benedict College's Nelson Kipkemboi, who finished with a time of 26:08.1.

The 8K race was contested Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Par Tee Golf Center in West Columbia, SC.

Timmerman's previous record, 29:56.9, was set at the Converse meet on Sept. 18.

Rounding out the trio of competitors for Columbia College was Robert Robbins, who clocked a time of 31:35.5, and Austin Bonds, who finished the meet with a time of 41:33.7

The Columbia College men will look to keep improving when they return to competition, Saturday, Oct. 16, when they travel to Spartanburg, SC, to participate in the USC Upstate Invite.
