Koalas Split Rematch Against Caldwell with Late Comeback

Columbia College ran off with the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over Caldwell Tech on Saturday. Columbia College trailed 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning when Gracie Louk doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Caldwell Tech scored three runs in the third inning, but the Koalas still managed to pull out the victory. Caldwell Tech offense in the inning was led by Davis Walker and Gracie Profitt , all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Liz Stroud earned the win for Columbia College . She surrendered five runs on eight hits over seven innings, striking out ten. Columbia College scattered 12 hits in the game. Mary-Catherine Sanders, Taylor Hannah, Jordan Kennedy, and Madi Wadford all had multiple hits for Columbia College . Sanders went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Columbia College in hits.
