COLUMBIA, SC- After a 5-1 week, the Koalas returned to action on Tuesday afternoon, hosting Brewton-Parker (GA). The visiting Barons took both games behind stellar pitching and timely hitting.
The Koalas fall to 12-14 on the season following the sweep, while the Barons improve to 15-9.
THE GAMES:
Columbia took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first in game one, but it would ultimately turn out to be the only run allowed by the Barons in 14 innings.
Brewton-Parker knocked in three runs in the third inning of game one and held off the Koalas at every chance they had, emerging with the 3-1 win.
The Barons shut out the Koalas in game two behind a complete game effort from Kristi Peters. The speedy pitcher struck out three while allowing just four hits.

Columbia will return to action on Saturday, hitting the road and heading to Montreat for the first of a two-game road trip.
