COLUMBIA, SC- Columbia College Softball recognized 13 Seniors before taking on Kentucky Christian in the final home game of the season on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, the Koalas could not collect a win, falling 10-2 and 3-2, plagued by errors in critical moments.

GAME ONE:

The Koalas loaded the bases in the bottom of the third, but the visiting Knights got out of the jam without allowing a run.

In their next chance to bat, the Knights tallied three runs on a double, quick base running, and a single through the left side of the infield.

The Koalas scored the subsequent two runs over the fourth and fifth thanks to an error and a double steal, but they would not be able to plate anymore through the next two innings.

KCU tacked on seven more runs in the sixth and seventh, helped out by a handful of defensive mistakes by the Koalas, en route to the 10-2 victory.

GAME TWO:

The guests got on the board in the first inning, staying patient at the plate and collecting a pair of walks to push the run home.

The Knights added a pair of runs in the top of the fourth, which would ultimately prove too much for the Koalas to overcome, despite a Kylie Smith two-RBI single to right field in the sixth.

UP NEXT:
The Koalas will make up Friday's rainout against St. Andrews on the 21st when they travel to Laurinburg, NC, for games at 1 and 3 p.m.
