Koalas Open Conference Play with Loss to Bluefield

The Koalas open up conference play away at Bluefiled College. Down by 7 going into halftime the fighting Koalas were set to make a run o=in the second half, but that run never happened. Reminiscent of the season opener the team that came out strong in the 3rd quarter ended up winning the game but in this case it was the Bluefield Rams, who ended up with a final score of 59-45.

Leading scorers for the Koalas were Junior Jenesai Mohammed with 18pts, 3 reb, and 1 assist. Followed by Sophomore Denijah Johnson with 10 pts, 5 reb, 1 block, and 2 steals. Also scoring was Kinard,Hawes, Sherill, and Ferguson.

The Koalas will try and get back on track this Saturday as they take on the Brenau Tigers at home starting at 2pm.
