Slow Start For the Koalas

Slow Start For the Koalas

The Koalas have had a rough start to the season. With their second loss in a row to open the season, the Koaals have to find some sense of urgency in order to turn this season around immediately. The game against the Brenau Tigers was held on Saturday with a 2pm tip-off time. Although the team started off slow, they quickly clawed their way back into the game. The final score to the game was 94-72.

Junior Denijah Johnson turned in another strong performance. Her relentless effort in the paint and on the boards would result in her having a 24 point, 7 rebound game. Fellow junior Hanna Kinard also had a solid game on the boards with 9 rebounds and 5 points.

Freshman Ellona Moulds and sophomore Jordan Morgan provided a spark from the bench as they both were able to get the basket for some much needed scoring late in the game.

Seniors Victoria Williams and Jenesai Mohammed both were able to contribute with 7 points and 3 assists.

The Koalas head back home to take on Bob Jones University on Tuesday November 12th at 5:30pm.
