Denijah Johnson Named AAC Player of the Week

Denijah Johnson has been named the AAC Conference Player of the week for the work and effort she has put in on the court in this last week of competition.

In two games (Kentucky Christian and Milligan College) which the Koalas split with a win and loss, Johnson turned a magnificent stat line that was far beyond any other player in the conference. In those game the junior from Jacksonville, NC had a combined 41 points, 35 rebounds, 9 steals and 8 blocks. She is currently averaging a double-double in the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Johnson is also currently ranked #3 in NAIA Division II Basketball for offensive rebounds per game. 

Congratulations to Denijah on a great performance and to the team for breaking their losing streak. The Koalas are gearing up to play the Skyhawks of Point University tonight and back on the road on Thursday to Tennessee Wesleyan.
