Koalas Opens Season Against Alice Lloyd

Basketball season has arrived, and the journey to the post season begins tonight. The Koalas of Columbia College are preparing to take center stage as a new basketball season is upon us. The Koalas grossly under performed last year in conference play but are on a mission to bounce back in a major way this year. The team finished last year with an overall record of 8-21, with a conference record of 7-19. The team finished 11th in the AAC.

With returners like junior Denijah Johnson, who almost averaged a double-double last season (13.8 ppg/9.4 rpg), and seasoned veterans Victoria Williams and Morgan Varn (currently injured) the Koalas have a achance to make it to the post season and prove the doubters wrong. 

The preseason poll has the team finishing 12th, and that has the team and Coach Black fired up and ready to compete. The home opener will be tonight at 5:30pm against a non-conference opponent Alice Lloyd.
