Koalas Pull Off Back to Back Conference Wins

Koalas Pull Off Back to Back Conference Wins

With another win the Koala Basketball season is starting to look like a major comeback. Tuesday night the Koalas traveled to Point University to face a team that just barely beat them earlier in the season at home. With the season and the possibility of making it to the post season tournament on the line the Koalas fought hard in a close battle from beginning to end. Walking away with the victory 67-60 over Point, the Koalas improve to 3 wins on the season and look to continue this run as they head to Tennessee Wesleyan today to face the Bulldogs.

In the game against Point, junior Denijah Johnson had another masterful game. Johnson now has had 3 consecutive games in double-double figures. Along with Johnson was senior Jenesai Mohammed who had a quiet 22 point, 4 rebounds night. Sophomore Jaida Hawes also played a major role as she contributed 18 points of her own with 6 rebounds and 4 assist.

If the Koalas can pull off another win tonight against the Bulldogs and secure a victory on Saturday at home against the Brenau Tigers, the conversation about post season play will become very real and a strong possibility.
