Younts Stadium, SC – Columbia College Women's Lacrosse toppled St. Andrews University 19 – 4 on Tuesday night at home in their second conference match of the year. The Koalas are now 2 – 0 for the 2018 season, having posted double digit scores in both match-ups.
The Koalas scored their first goal just forty-five seconds into the first half after a quick draw possession from senior Tiffany Tortorello transitioned into an assisted goal from Alexa Campbell to Kristina Grant. Another goal from Grant in the first three minutes started a cascade of Columbia goals pushing a 10 – 0 lead for the Koalas.
The first half closed 13 – 1 in Columbia's favor after a goal from Tortorello was withdrawn but Columbia tallied another six goals in the second half and allowed three additional goals from the Knights.
Sophomore goalie Diamond Brown was 6 - 7 for clears allowing only 4 goals and totaling 12 saves.
The Koalas play again this Saturday, February 18 away at Newberry College at 4pm EST.
