Koalas Finish 4th in Conference, Post Season Awards Announced

Last weekend the Koalas competed in the AAC conference tournament. Thursday, the ladies took on St. Andrews. The Koalas came out strong as they jumped out to an early 8-3 lead in the first half. As the game continued, the Knights started to make a come back but were unable to do so. The final score was 9-7. The following game didn't go as well against Reinhardt. The lost to Reinhardt knocked the Koalas out of the tournament but allowed the Koalas to finish in 4th place, which is what they were predicted to finish at the beginning of the season.

With the conclusion of the season brings the annoucement of post season awards. This year the Koalas had numerous winners. First, seniors Alexa Campbell and Morgan Solesbee were voted 1st Team All-Conference. Junior Katherine Grant was selected for 2nd Team All-Conference. Sophomore Nicole Halvorsen received the Champions of Character award. Litzel Garcia, Kristina and Katherine Grant, Nicole Halvorsen, Thalia Watkins, and Elle Zeeman all received Academic All-Conference awards.
