The Appalachian Athletic Conference has announced Columbia College Senior Midfielder, Ruby Hallam, as the 2018 Conference Player of the Year.

Hallam, from Derby, United Kingdom, had a tremendous season for the Koalas within the conference slate.  She was at the top of the conference in a number of offensive statistical categories, including:

1st in Points Per Game (2.55)

1st in Assists

2nd in Goals (10)

2nd in Total Points (28)

Hallam scored in eight unique games during the season, including scoring twice against both Bryan and Milligan, and once against Tennessee Wesleyan, Reinhardt, Brenau, Columbia International, Bluefield, and Union.  For her career, the senior played in 72 games, scoring 41 goals and adding 25 assists for a total of 107 points.

This is the first time a player from Columbia College has received the AAC Player of the Year award for soccer. In addition to the POY, Hallam was also honored twice as the Offensive Player of the Week in the conference in weeks two and five.
