Columbia College Women’s Soccer Host Bluefield

Columbia, SC -- The Columba College (SC) women's soccer team will look to make it four in a row, Wednesday (Sept. 15) when they host Bluefield University in an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) contest at Younts Stadium.

The contest is set for a 1:30 pm start and will precede the men's soccer match against the Rams.

Last Saturday, the Koalas recorded its third straight shutout with a 4-0 AAC victory over Kentucky Christian. The win pushed the season record to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the AAC. 

On the season, Columbia College has allowed just three goals while recording 16. Overall, the Koalas have total shots with 54 shots on goal.

Jordan Myers leads the teams with four goals, followed by Isabella Gurrieri with three. Theresa Chambers, Kianna Dodge, and Brianna Sandoval all have two goals each, while Kylie Stewart and Madison Stewart round out the scorers for the Koalas.

The Bluefield Rams bring an 0-4 overall and 0-1 conference record into the contest. In their last outing (Sept. 11), the Rams dropped a conference match to Reinhardt University, 5-0.

Bluefield has been shut out in each of its four games while allowing 16 goals on the season.

The Koalas will hit the road for its next two contests beginning Saturday, Sept. 18, when they travel to Gainesville, Ga., to face the Golden Tigers of Brenau University. They will then face Montreat on Wednesday, Sept. 22.
