Swim takes a set of AAC wins

Greer Natatorium - Columbia College swim took two wins against AAC conference opponents St Andrews University and Point University on Saturday, November 5th. Columbia dominated the meet with the first 400 yard Medlay relay winning in a time of 4:20:91 (Abby Hess, Da'Nelle Williams, Cassie Adams and Haley Stewart).

Marianne DeWitt excelled in the Women's 500 yard free with an impressive time of 5:51:88 nearly twenty seconds ahead of the second place Point swimmer. Ariel Prescott secured third place with a time of 6:30:50 close behind the top two competitors and a whole minute ahead of St Andrews, Erica Hocum.

Once again, Columbia College Koalas, dominated the Womens 100 yard free and 100 yard back, safely placing 1st and third.

In the women's 200 yard IM Da'Nnelle Williams placed 1st with strong competition from St Andrews who finished a narrow 3 seconds after. Columbia teammate Michaela Lemmon snuck in at 4th place. Abigail Hess then set the example in 200 yard back finishing a calm 10 seconds before Points Bailee, Spivey. 

In the 100 Free, St Andrews once again tried to challenge Columbia, finishing a narrow .22 seconds behind Columbia in 58.28 but still couldn't quite beat the Koalas to first place.

Across the meet, all of Columbia's swimmers performed exceptional in their chosen event and dominated the day with successful results to show.

The Koalas will head away Friday, 17th November to Sewanee
