Koala Women Earn Fourth Title AAC Indoor Title in Five Years

The Columbia College (SC) Women's Track & Field Team scored 160 points, 28 points ahead of the 2nd place team, to win its fourth AAC Indoor Title in five years.

The Koalas captured gold in four events on the track and one in the field.

In addition, Elana Preston was named the Indoor Track Newcomer of the Year, and The Koala coaching staff earned the Indoor Staff of the Year.

"Everything had to click over the two days, and there was no margin for error," head coach Justin Bishop said. "Everybody had to hold their position and score the points expected from their conference ranking. We only had two events that underperformed, but other than that, everybody did great."

Bishop continued, "We had four individual conference champions, and four school records were broken, so it was a total team effort."
