Carson and Wright Captures Gold at Newberry College/Hub City Invite

Junior Zaida Carson threw 11.35 meters (37'3") in the shot put, and Grace Wright ran a 1:09.55 in the 400-meter hurdles to capture gold in the shot put at the Newberry College/Hub City Invitational on April 8. Carson also finished in the Top 10 in the hammer, placing sixth with a throw of 35.92 meters (117'10").

Valeria Bogdanova and Esther Ekundayo finished fourth and fifth in the 400-meters, respectively. Bogdanova ran a season-best 1:00.88, and Ekundayo finished in a time of 1:06.12. Bogdanova also finished sixth in the 800-meters (2:30.18).

The women's 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Ariana Pratt, Elana Preston, Kayleigh Lodge, and Makayla Hollifield, finished third with a time of 4:39.81.
