Koala Volleyball Drops Three Setter to Truett McConnell

Cleveland, Ga.—The Columbia College (SC) volleyball team could not find much offense in dropping their second straight road contest, falling to Truett McConnell University, 3-0.

The loss drops the Koalas to 1-10 overall and 0-8 in the ACC.  The win pushes the Bears to 7-11 overall and 4-3 in the AAC.

Senior Brianna King and freshman Brhia Cummings had four kills each to lead Columbia College in the match.

Senior Becca Lorimer put up 17 assists, and freshman Ta'Cori Barber had a match-high 15 digs in the loss.

Sonya Silecky led Truett McConnell with a match-high 11 kills.  Silecky also added ten digs to her stat line. Deomi Valmus and Morgan Cox shared the setting duties for the Bears, putting up 18 and 15, respectively.

Columbia College finished the match with just 18 kills compared to 42 for Truett McConnell.

The Koalas will remain on the road for its third of the sixth straight contest, Thursday, Sept. 30, when they travel to Sumter, SC, to take on the Hornets of Morris College.
