Koalas Come from Behind to Defeat Paine College on Senior Day

Columbia, SC -- The Columbia College (SC) volleyball team came from one set down to defeat Paine College, 3-1 (23-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-17) Thursday, Oct. 21. The win snapped a 17-game losing streak. It was also senior night for Columbia College.

The Koala senior class was hitting on all cylinders on senior night. 

Seniors, Brianna King and Jalyn Pace finished the game in double-digit kills, finishing with 14 and 10 kills, respectively. Senior setter Becca Lorimer put up a match-high 27 set assists for Columbia College, who had finished with the match with 15 total blocks (1 solo-14 assist).

Additionally, Amiri Mason picked up a game-high 14 digs in the victory.

Jada Wilks, Skye Livingston, and Shacari Hardy put down seven kills each for Paine in the loss.

Overall, the Koalas outhit Paine (3-13) 49-32 and finished with 15 more points than the Lions.

Columbia College will return to conference play this Saturday, Oct. 23, when they travel to Gainesville, Ga. to face Brenau.
