Koala Women’s Cross-Country Shows Promise in Opening Meet
Charleston, SC (09-04-21) – Columbia College (SC) women's cross country team finished fifth at the CSU Buccaneer Invite hosted by Charleston Southern on Saturday (Sept. 4).
Makayla Hollifield's was the first Koala to cross the finish line, clocking a 20:20 in the meet. Valeria Bogdanova ran a 21:38, and Izabelle Trefts ran a 22:38 to make up the top three finishers.
Esther Ekundayo (23:26) and Gabrielle Huggins (23:30) rounded out the top five runners for Columbia College.
Additional runners for the Koalas included: Elana Preston (23:35), Ayanah Howard (24:15), Ariana Pratt (26.56), Akiah McMillan (27:00), Victoria Heiser-Whatley (27:01), and Shelby Winn (27:47).
Columbia College will have 13 days off before heading to Converse University on Saturday, Sept. 18.
