Koalas Open Outdoor Season at CIU Invitational

Columbia, S.C. -- The Columbia College men's and women's track and field teams will travel just down the road this Friday-Saturday, March 18-19, to participate in the CIU Rams Invitational hosted by Columbia International University. This is the 2022 outdoor opener for both teams.

The action gets underway on Friday at 4 pm with men's and women's hammer in the field and 6 pm on the track with the women's 4x800 meter relay. Saturday events open at 10 am with the women's shot put in the field and the mixed racewalk on the track.

The Koalas will compete with a host of NCAA Division I, II, and III programs, including USC-Aiken, USC-Beaufort, Johnson & Wales (N.C.), Coker (S.C.), Livingstone (N.C.), Presbyterian (N.C.), Brevard (N.C.), Augusta (Ga.), Pikeville (Ky.), Bob Jones (S.C.), Allen (S.C.), and Belmont Abbey (N.C.). 

There will also be several top-notch NAIA programs competing, including host CIU, Milligan (Tenn.), Montreat (N.C.), West Virginia Tech, Bluefield (Va.), St. Andrews (N.C.), Emmanuel (GA.), and Cumberlands (Ky.). 

There are no spectator restrictions. General Admission is $7 per person, and Children, Seniors, and Military tickets are $5.
