Three Koala Men Qualify for NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships

The Columbia College men's track and field team had three individuals to qualify for the 2022 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships in its outdoor opener.
Rhyan Reinsel, Richard Parker-Boatwright, and Gavin Rice qualified in their respective events at the 2022 CIU Rams Invitational held Friday-Saturday, Mar. 18-19.
Reinsel and Rice qualified for two events each at the meet, while Parker-Boatwright qualified for one.
Reinsel qualified in the 200 and 400 meters, clocking times of 22.29 (4th) and 49.94 (3rd), respectively.
Rice qualified in two field events, the Hammer (34.45) and Shot Put (11.12)
Parker-Boatwright ran a 16.53 to qualify in the 110-meter hurdles finishing eighth overall. He also finished 14th in the 400-meter hurdles.
Outside of the three qualifiers, the Koalas posted solid times and distances at the meet.
