Koala Men’s XC Finish 5th at The Akiah McMillan Invite

West Columbia, SC (Oct. 8) -- The Columbia College men's cross-country team scored 150 points to finish in the middle of the pack (5th) at the Inaugural Akiah McMillan Invite. Belmont Abbey took home the team title with 37 points. Donald Kibet of Benedict College took home gold with a time of 24:25.8.

The 8K race was contested Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Par Tee Golf Center in West Columbia, SC.

Kaden Reeder continued to pace the Koalas finishing 15th out of 96 competitors (26:48.9). Patrick Timmerman clocked a 28:39.8, and Dorde Racic ran a 29:08.0 round out the top three finishers for Columbia College.

Robert Robbins (29:44.5), Damaion Polite (31:08.8), Coleston Runge (31:08.8), Austin Major, Jr. (31:59.8), and Kristian Sanchez (32:00.3) completed the competitors for the Koalas.

Columbia College will return to competition Saturday, Oct. 22, when they travel to Newberry, SC, to participate in the Newberry College Invite.
