Porter Gymnasium

Built inside the Godbold Center in 1971, Porter Gymnasium was named in memory of Julia Inabinet Porter. The Gymnasium, located on Russell Avenue, hosts both of the Columbia College Koala men's & women's basketball teams and the Lady Koala Volleyball team in the winter and fall seasons, respectively.

In addition to Porter Gymnasium, the Godbold Center contains the Athletic Department Offices, the Columbia College Athletic Hall of Fame Wall and Trophy cases, Greer Swimming Natatorium, Weight Room & Fitness Center, locker rooms and Athletic Training Room.

The Porter Gym underwent a facelift in July of 2024 where it had a brand-new wood floor installed along with brand new black plastic bleachers that are controlled via a remote. It also underwent a new paint job as well as three new offices put in.
