Women Take Ninth, Men Place Eleventh at Converse Kickoff

Spartanburg, SC- Columbia College Cross-Country returned to action on Saturday, heading north to Spartanburg for The Converse Kickoff. 

The Women finished ninth as a team in a field of 17 with a team time of 2:10:27. The Men claimed 11th of 17 in their eight-kilometer race (4.97 miles) with a team total of 2:21:41.

Angeline Kravitz paced the Koalas with a 33rd-place finish; she ran the six-kilometer (3.73 miles) race in 24:24.5. Addison Martin (61), Carly Fuel (77), Izabelle Trefts (79), and Mina Shull (86) joined her in the top-100 of a field that saw 151+ competitors. 

Kaden Reeder was the top finisher for the Koalas, coming in at 75th (27:27.6) in a field of 183+ runners. Cayden Chance joined his teammate in the top 100 with a 97th-place finish (28:04.4); Patrick Timmerman just missed a top-100 finish by 24 seconds. 

Both programs will return to action on September 30th, when they host the Akiah McMillan Invitational.
