Tennis Programs Jump into Spring with Big Wins Over JWU

 CHARLOTTE, NC- Columbia College Men's and Women's Tennis got the spring off to a fast start last week when they took on Johnson & Wales University.

The Koalas came away with the sweep as the Women defeated JWU, 6-3, while the Men brought home a 5-4 decision.

On the Women's side, the duo of Aniya Sims and Mariane Lima won their match 8-1, while Vienne Geren and Helena Jokanovic cruised to an 8-0 victory. The Koala Women swept all but one singles match.

The Men escaped with a narrow victory behind Jonah Haller, Tiaan Jacobs, and Michael Schiesz, collecting singles victories. Schiesz was clutch in his performance, winning a pair of 6-4 decisions.
