Hoile Takes Third at Fincastle Intercollegiate, Hosted by Bluefield

BLUEFIELD, VA- The Columbia College Men's and Women's Golf teams hit the road on Monday and Tuesday for their second and first tournament of the year, respectively.

The Koalas competed at the Fincastle Intercollegiate, hosted by Bluefield University (Va.). The two-day event was played at Mountainous Terrain, a par 70, 6714-yard course.

The Koala men placed fifth of 10 teams, while the Lady Koalas saw Lindsey Hoile finish in a tie for third and be named to The All-Tournament Team.

Sophomore Blake Vaughn was the top finisher for the men, coming in a tie for 10th place with a two-round total of 149, nine over par. Other finishers for the men included Jacob Fink (T21, +19), Ryan Lord (T26, +21), and Brandon Griffin (T31, +25).

Third-place Hoile finished with a two-day total of 167 (+27), just two strokes off second place.
