Koala Men’s Soccer on the Road at Montreat

Montreat, NC --- Columbia College (SC) men's soccer team will have its first Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) road game, Wednesday, Sept. 22, when they travel to Montreat, NC, to face the Cavaliers of Montreat College. The kickoff will be at 7:15, following the women's contest.

Columbia College (2-1, 1-0 AAC) are coming off a bye weekend. The Koalas last played on September 15 when their AAC contest against Bluefield was suspended at halftime due to inclement weather. There was no score at the time of the suspension. The Bluefield contest is rescheduled for September 27 at 3 p.m.

Montreat College brings a 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the conference bill into the contest. In their last outing (Sept. 18), the Cavaliers defeated the Koalas next opponents Bryan College, 7-3. 

Alex Gnamien has two of the three goals for Columbia College this season. The Koalas only other goal was scored by Micah Hill in the home opener. Miguel Rivas-Giraldo has amassed 38 saves and has a 2-1 win-loss record.

Columbia College will face off against Bryan Saturday, Sept. 25, at 1 p.m. in Younts Stadium.
