COLUMBIA, SC- The Columbia College Men's Soccer team officially opened its 2023 campaign on Thursday night, hosting the Benedict College Men's Soccer Club program in non-conference action.

The Koalas emerged victorious in convincing fashion, 9-0. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Koalas jumped on the Tigers early, tallying three scores in the first half.
  • Goals came from Jakeem Amuda (twice) and Dan Stryffeler; Styffeler also assisted on both Amuda scores.
  • The second half saw more domination from the home team, adding another six goals en route to a convincing win.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

  • Amuda tallied three total goals, while Stryffeler added two of his own.
  • A total of seven Koalas tallied points.
