No. 20 Rams Hand Koalas AAC Loss, 6-1

COLUMBIA, SC- Men's Soccer was initially set to play CIU on the road Wednesday night. However, due to unplayable field conditions, the Koalas welcomed the No. 20 ranked Rams to Younts Stadium on Thursday night.

The Koalas played the nationally ranked guests to a 1-1 tie after 45 minutes, but the Rams outlasted the Koalas best shots, pulling away for a 6-1 final.

Jakeem Amuda recorded the lone Koala score, corralling a loose ball in the box during the first half.

The match was played physically, with five yellow cards handed out. Four to CIU and one to the Koalas that resulted in a penalty kick for the Rams. New goalie Brayden Gonzales was able to turn it away, though.

Columbia will return to action on Saturday, taking on Reinhardt on the road at 2 PM.
