Milligan Offense Too Much for Columbia

COLUMBIA, SC- Men's Soccer fell to Milligan in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) action on Saturday evening, 3-0.

THE BASICS:

The Koalas slip to under .500 on the season with a record of 4-5 overall and 1-4 in AAC action. Meanwhile, the Buffaloes improved to 6-2-1 overall and remain unblemished in AAC play with a 3-0-1 mark.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Buffaloes struck fast in the first half when Inaki Moreno fed a high arching pass into the box for the tallest player on the field in Santiago Corral. From there, he used his height and head to give the Buffs the only score they'd need. Milligan added goals at 25:49 and 62:09 to build a cushion.

The Koalas saw a quality scoring chance in each half, but Milligan's keepers kept a clean sheet and turned away two shots from Jakeem Amuda.

UP NEXT:

The Koalas will travel to Pikeville, the newest member school of the AAC, on Wednesday for a 1:00 PM start.
