Bulldogs Bite Koalas, 3-0

COLUMBIA, SC- After a hard-fought game on Wednesday, Men's Soccer returned to action on Friday night to host Tennessee Wesleyan.

THE BASICS:

The Bulldogs built a 2-0 lead in the first half and added a security goal in the second half to improve to 6-2-3 overall and 4-1-1 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC). The loss, the sixth straight for the Koalas, drops them to 4-7 on the year and 1-6 in AAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Bulldogs got on the board in the 40th minute when Dave Neijenhuis chipped a ball past the outstretched arms of freshman goalie Brayden Garcia.

Just four minutes later, the guests tallied another score off the foot of Cian Gantley. The third and final score came early in the second half when Dave Neijenhuis connected with Logan Haricombe.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

TWU held a 12-shot advantage, 16-4, and Garcia made a season-high seven saves between the pipes.

UP NEXT:

The Koalas will enjoy a week off before welcoming Union to Younts Stadium next Saturday.
