COLUMBIA, SC- Columbia College Men's Soccer welcomed unbeaten Nationally ranked No. 17 Union to Younts Stadium on Saturday morning; the Bulldogs seemingly enjoyed every minute of their trip to the capital city, winning big, 6-1.
THE BASICS:
Union improves to 11-0 overall and holds the top spot in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) at 7-0. The Koalas drop to 4-8 overall and 1-7 in AAC play with the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Union got on the board early, in the 16th minute, when Tyler Wheatcroft found the back of the net thanks to a pass from Jan Brzozowski. From there, the nationally ranked Bulldogs added two goals within five minutes of each other (30:43, 35:48) to go ahead 3-0 into the break.
Just over a minute into the second half, the Koalas got on the board when Jakeem Amuda fed a pass to Jimmy Yancey for his fourth goal of the season. Union went on to flex its muscle from there, adding three more scores to close things out.
