BLACK MOUNTAIN, NC- Men's Soccer returned to action on Wednesday night, traveling north to Montreat for another Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) match.
THE BASICS:
Montreat collected their fifth AAC win of the year with the 3-0 decision, moving to 6-6-1 overall and 5-3 in the conference. With the loss, Columbia falls to 1-8 in the conference and 4-9 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Cavaliers took a 1-0 lead into the half despite the Koalas outshooting the hosts 7-5 in the first 45 minutes of play.
Montreat added to their goal differential with two more tallies in the second half, even though Columbia again outshot them 10-4. Six of the Koalas' 17 shots were on goal.
