Jon Sandy Stepping Down as Head Men's Soccer Coach

COLUMBIA, SC- After three seasons at the helm, Head Men's Soccer Coach Jon Sandy is stepping down.

Sandy spent seven years at his Alma Mater, Bob Jones University, before joining the Columbia Athletic Department as the first head coach in Men's Soccer history.

During his tenure in the capital city, the men steadily improved each season. Sandy laid the foundation for a successful program, leading the Koalas to seven victories and an 11th-place conference finish during the 2023 campaign.

The Koalas also saw Jakeem Amuda earn NAIA Player of the Week this season under the guidance of Sandy.

"Coach Sandy's dedication to the program has been unwavering, and we are grateful for his leadership over the past three seasons. Columbia College Athletics is thankful for your hard work and commitment during your time here, Coach Sandy." - Glen Crawford, Director of Athletics.

Columbia College Athletics will soon launch a national search to fill the Men's Soccer vacancy.
