Charlotte, NC - The Columbia (SC) College men's and women's tennis teams began the Spring portion of their 2023-24 schedule with an away match against Johnson & Wales Charlotte on Feb. 15.
The Koala Men won a close decision, 5-4 while the Lady Koalas won 6-3.
Columbia's freshman Jonah Haller won 7-5, 6-4 in the #3 singles match, while sophomore Tiaan Jacobs won 6-1, 7-5 in the #4 singles match. Freshman Michael Schiesz won 6-4, 6-4 in the #6 singles match. The Koala #1 doubles team of Haller and junior Liam Barry won 8-1. Barry also won his singles bout 6-0, 6-0 in dominating fashion in the #2 spot.
