Milligan Men Too Much for Koala Tennis

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Columbia College men's tennis team dropped an AAC match 7-0 on Thursday at home to Milligan College.

The Koalas' top doubles team of Jonah Haller and Liam Barry could not overcome Milligan's top team in falling 6-1 while Columbia's other two doubles teams were not able to get on the board against MC falling 6-0, 6-0.

In singles, Barry had the best match of the afternoon as he won the first set set 6-4 at his #3 spot before falling 6-1, 6-4 over the next two sets to drop a hard-luck match. Haller managed to win four games at the second spot falling 6-1, 6-3 while Tiaan Jacobs lost 6-1, 6-1 at the top spot. Millgian then clinched the win as Columbia could only muster three total games on the final three single matches.

Columbia drops to 6-8 overall and 1-7 in conference while Milligan improved to 7-10 overall and 4-3 in the AAC. The Koalas will next be in action on Thursday when they remain home to host NCAA Div. II Anderson at 2:00 PM.
