Mutiple Indoor Track and Field School Records Fall During Bast-Cregger Invitational

SALEM, VA- They say records are meant to be broken, and that's exactly what happened Dec. 8-9 when the Columbia College Indoor Track and Field teams hit the road for the Bast-Cregger Invitational, hosted by Roanoke College.

 Seven school records fell during the meet, four from the men's team and two from the women's side.

New Men's Indoor Records:

  • Kimarje White (Freshman, Summerville, SC / Cane Bay High School) 300m Indoor: 36.99
  • Tyler Dixon (Freshman, Chesterfield, SC / Chesterfield High School) Triple Jump: 12.22m
  • Damaion Polite (Sophomore, Bluffton, SC / May River High School) 600m: 1:26.56
  • Xzavier Lacefield (Freshman, Beaufort, SC / Beaufort High School) 3,000m: 9:32.30
  • Geonathan Tobias (Sophomore, Tucson, AZ / Cienega High School) Shot Put: 13.57m

 

Along with breaking records, over 20 Koalas qualified for the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Indoor Championship meet with their performance over the weekend.
