Men's XC Places 8th at AACs
KNOXVILLE, TN - The Columbia College men's cross country team finished 8th of 11 teams on Friday at the 2024 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Cross Country championship from Knoxville.
Milligan placed five runners in the top eight to capture the title as the championship meet was held at Seqouyah Park in Knoxville, Tenn. Bryn Woodall led Milligan as he outpaced the field winning the 8K (5 mile) race in a meet record time of 23:56.
Leading the Koalas was senior Patrick Timmerman as he finished 43rd overall out of 95 in a time of 27:27. Fellow senior Dorde Racic then came in second on CC placing 54th overall in 28:24 while junior Kristian Sanchez ran a time of 29:43 to finish 68th. Sophomore William Bull then came across in 29:53 to finish 71st while fellow sophomore Harold Nolan was the last Koala to score placing 79th in a time of 31:23.
CC's 8th place finish saw them finish ahead of Union, CIU, and Pikeville and was only a few points behind Truett and Bryan to come in a tie for 6th.
